About Dr. Fulton
Respirology
Dr. Fulton is a Respirologist certified by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada, having completed his Respirology training in Ottawa, ON, preceded by Internal Medicine training in Vancouver, BC. He joined the Mount Benson Medical Clinic in 2019.
In addition to seeing referred patients in clinic, Dr. Fulton provides Respirology consultation services for patients admitted at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH), where he also performs procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis.
Dr. Fulton is also part of the Internal Medicine On-Call group at NRGH, which cares for adult patients requiring admission to hospital.
In addition to English he speaks conversational French.
While you wait
While you are waiting…your doctor may have ordered tests that will help Dr. Fulton in his assessment. Getting these done before your consult visit will streamline the process. If your problem has a lifestyle component, chances are that Dr. Fulton will give you advice about making lifestyle changes. Get a head start by making those changes now including cutting down on smoking, weight (if this is an issue). Getting active is (almost) always a good idea.
